Chint Group is a Chinese low-voltage electrical power transmission and electricity distribution company.[1] It has ninety-seven overseas subsidiaries and more than 2,300 distributors. According to Forbes, it is the fourth-largest privately owned company in China. In Western Sahara, Chint is the technical partner in building two new solar energy plants:[2] Noor Laayoune, with a maximum capacity of 80 MW, and Noor Boujdour, with a maximum capacity of 20 MW. This is a joint project with Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power, which was chosen to lead, design, finance, construct, and maintain these plants.[3]
